The Following Components Will Help You To Create User Friendly Website

More often than not people choose a website to create awareness on a particular topic, market a business or brand (product) to suit intended target audience. To have the masses on your website you ought to have a website that has attractive features, is readable and site loads faster. To achieve the above you need the following steps. Firstly, impress your client the first time you make contact by creating a home page or site map in your Html editor.

It gives them a reason to read the content in your website. On your homepage, it is important to say what your viewers will see in your website. Incase you do not know how to design you can use a web designer who will ensure your website design is unique and has a professional outlook. Since a website has, many pages and you can get lost. You require a navigation bar. It acts as a sense of direction to the website user when you decide to go back to an earlier page. The navigation bar position should be at either the top or side of each webpage.

Design of your website also determines if it is going to be a user friendly. If the designs are congested and disarranged, they will put you off. It is thus important to use graphics and features on your website carefully .To prevent the above from occurring you can use a web designer that will create a web design that not only meets your goals but also earns you subscribers. The other advantage of limiting features is that your site will load faster.

Fonts you use in your website also matters a lot for it to be user friendly. Incase you want your website to be viewed as you see yours in the computer, use simple fonts that are similar to Microsoft PCs and Macs. In addition, your homepage should try to utilize two types of text for the header and footer.

Always have a social media in your website that allows your viewers get either firsthand information on topics or products in your website. Social Medias that you can use are Facebook, Twitter or Linked in. Making your viewers life easy is another component that will make your website user friendly. It is made easy by adding a search feature that helps you trace the exact information from the numerous. If this feature is not on your website, you risk loosing viewers that will opt for a site that is faster in relaying information.

Just as you feel when you take a bath, it is good to keep your website fresh. Depending on the type of your website, aims to educate the users you will need to update the information frequently. If business related you, need to share information why the product is good and how to use it. Freshness of your website will also depend on how consistent you will change your web design logo, theme, color and style.

This is a tall order mate, seeing the sample website http://www.reed.co.uk it's a site with data base and that costs a lot of money… probably around US$3k min. but if you just need the design that would be cheaper, may less than 500 for the lay out…

You can either hire freelancers which is cheaper or go to a more stable web development company more expensive but it's a one stop shop.

I hope this helps,

Moveable Elements:The best exmaple is in WordPress when you can drag and drop elements arround the screen. These are very useful when the user wants to cutomise the UI to his/her preference.

She knows because it looks generic, templates are always easy to tell… Tell her if she wants a custom job it's going to take longer and cost more. if she says OK, you better be ready to do a good job on a custom site.

I do all of my sites in flash, I have created a ton of my own templates to work with, but when you are writing code instead of pasting pictures its impossible to really use a template.

You can definitely do this, but you need to be smart about it and assess how much time you realistically have. If you do have, 10-15hrs a week – this could be great. I won’t comment if you actually will have this time – that’s your call! But assuming you want to:How I’d do it: – If you don’t have a great website with your work / skills – MAKE ONE NOW! Also, get some business cards – as cliche / outdated that is – it makes the old men think you’re serious – along with good work on your site.

It sounds very much like the template label has been placed in your title.

open the web page in a text editor and look for the tags

<title>

whatever is written between those tags will be shown in the browser tab.

I think one of the best ways to build a website is to use wordpress. It is a free blogging software, with thousands of free templates available. It can be easily customized to be a CMS (content management system) for almost any kind of website you can imagine. It is also easy to find inexpensive developers to do customization and it is well supported.

03.21.11

If you have no prior experience in developing a website, getting a template to start with is a good idea to me. is a good place to start. :)

03.21.11

I had a look at your web site and also the source page. You seem to have the basics such as meta tags and alt tags. Here is a suggestion:

1) You need to put a few more keywords into your top paragraph – this is important.

2) Start a linking campaign – for example you could have used your question for example by putting the in.

You also need to jazz your site up a bit – it's a little dull for a design site.

Good luck.

you can get free templates
you can download from here

but i recommend you to check the site as well and try to do it by yourself :) you will make your site looks better and you will learn new things in the same time.

———————————–

If you want to learn ? Download Dreamweaver then read this slowly.

Dreamweaver is easy,
First when you open Dreamweaver you go on the right menu you click on files. Then
Manage sites > New > Site >
You choose the site name, local folder for the site.
If you’re using programming language like asp or PHP you should add testing server under categories which will allow you to run your script when you click on F12 in case you’re not using a server side language then just click on DONE.

After that you have the folder you want to work on inside Dreamweaver, so you can add new pages by right clicking on the folder name under the files and choosing:

New file (and you right the file name for example default.htm)

Or New Folder

After creating the file you double click on it you have 3 ways to see the file… Design view (u see just the design) – Code View (just the Code) – Split – (both design and code).

After this done you can click on Modify on the top of the page then page properties or CTRL + J and you choose the page Properties: Like the Font the links the margins … after all this you have a page which is ready to be used…

You can import tables on Dreamweaver by clicking CTRL + ALT + T

Hope I could help enough…

Check this site for more Dreamweaver help CS3

The real purpose of a business plan is often distorted and made solely to keep the bank happy. A real business plan is a working tool, something that you and your bank manager can use to keep track of how well your business is doing. For example, you may show that in your first month, say march, you will spend spend spend. Income will be expected to be a 10th of what you spend so you're running at a loss, and you expect the next month to be the same. But by the fifth month, you're expecting a and b to happen so income will triple. By the end of the tenth month you'll be breaking even and expect that to stay like that for the next 6 months when you'll start to go into profit.
This means that when you have regular meets with your manager, he'll look at your losses and notice how they are in line with your predictions, so will be happy to continue to finance you. If each month you show you're on target, you should have his full support.
Now what are you going to do with a web based business relying on ad revenue? What google adsense? You'll be lucky! I can't see any bank financing a web based business unless you have major backing of your own.

Information needed to answer this question:

1. The template club name (or the URL where you got the template) and the name of the template from that club/URL.

2. The TYPE of menu you want to use since most come with several options. (RocketTheme's come with 3-4 menu type options and subsequent settings. YooThemes as well.)

Also…remember to make certain your hosting account (shared hosting etc.) settings, the server settings and version of PHP are correct.

MySpace itself doesn't do that. It's all the pointless customisations that people make, and all the bandwidth hogging oversized images that some people feel compelled to post in every direction that they turn.

MySpace isn't _designed_ by idiots – but idiots are allowed to run free there.

Lot of questions in one sentence!
- A "template" is a pre-designed website to which you have "just" to change the contents. Reserved to amateurs who do not have any graphic skills.
- "Web Development" is "making the design to work", that is CODING.
- "Site Design" or "Web Design": is an artist work to prepare a page/website, the way it will "look"… but does not work! You need the developer (above) to make it work.
- CMS: Content Management System. A kind of Integrated Development Environment that allows unskilled people to chancge the contents of their site themselves. Unfortunately, all CMS are written in complex languages such as Php, ASP, and require that knowledge to be used properly – which means that if you have the skills, you don't need them!!!
These CMS are often offered to "clients" as a website feature (so the client can update his website without the need of the coder. The problem? They are way TOO complex for the clients and are (nearly) never used by the client (or used the first month and then forgotten)
A waste of time, really!
A proper CMS is developped by professionals to fullfill the requirements of the client… and nothing else!
- e-commerce: many scripts available, but ALL too complex: they contain too many features that you do not need. Some of them are 20Meg in size, and the user only makes calls to a few functions. A HUGE overhead for nothing.
A proper e-commerce can be written in a few Kb of code by any professional (and that will be EXACTLY what the client needs).

There are some really cool things that you can do with websites, and a design company will probably cost you a bit, because they are in high demand. But without the knowledge of how to design a extremely elaborate website, you have to hire someone. You can hire a web-master, these guys build and maintain websites 24/7. But that means you have to pay him salary.

03.21.11

Yes and no.

It depends on what you're actually trying to do with the website.

If you're trying to make a user-driven website or something where the community would have a high level of interaction with the website, then you're going to want to create your own.

If you're just trying to deliver content to whatever audience may be viewing the website, then theres nothing wrong with a pre-made template.

The only reason I'd recommend not using a template is because you know the inside and out of anything you design. You'd know how to fix any/all problems and wouldn't have to worry about anything going wrong.

Good luck!

03.21.11

Google figures that when one page links to another page, it is effectively casting a vote for the other page. The more votes that are cast for a page, the more important the page must be. Also, the importance of the page that is casting the vote determines how important the vote itself is. Google calculates a page's importance from the votes cast for it. How important each vote is is taken into account when a page's PageRank is calculated.

So, it sounds like it doesn't matter the topics of the linked pages, just how 'popular' the linked pages are (defined as how many other pages they are linked to and their links are linked to).

I hope that helps.

To address exactly the same problem – Server side technologies came into play. (But they also address a lot more issues than that..)

Solution 1.
But for your problem, if you know a little bit of PHP, its a one line game (OR if you know your server uses PHP, just close your eyes and blindly include the following line on every html page you create)

<?php include("path_to_your_menu_HTML_file_name"); ?>

(of course, replace path_to_you_menu_HTML_file_name with the one appropriate for your context!)

Now with that line, you can put your menu in one file (the one you are referring to in the above code), and then include the rest of the matter in all your other files.

A little caveat though – you will have to name all your files as ending with .php (not .htm or .html).

So, if you know your server is running PHP and you have renamed all your files on the website from .htm (or .html) to .php and included the above code. You are all set to go.

The advantage fo this solution is that it doesn't depend on the client side browser, so you are sure that your client receives HTML only.

Solution 2. (Easiest One)
Use iframes…
Use this code:
<iframe src="included.html" width="450" height="400">

Adjust the src, width and height according to your need.

The advantage for you is that it keeps you in the domain of HTML. (no renaming of files!)

The thing with inline frames (the code above – iframe) is that it breaks on very old browsers (maybe a non-issue today) and search engines do not cache it.

Here is an excellent resource on iframes:
http://www.htmlhelp.com/reference/html40/special/iframe.html

Unfortunately this question is misclassified… special education is for people with learning differ-abilities or special needs. You might want to re-post this in the correct category of education. Good luck!

the selectors are meant to tell the browser what objects to apply a style to.
you can use tag selector to apply a style to all tags of that type, class selectors to apply to all tags with the specified class, or ID selector to apply to the ONLY tag with that id.

since there can not be more than one tag with the same ID, ID selector can only apply to one element.

the important thing here is to never use the same id on more than one element, otherwise the page will fail validation, might be displayed inconsistently, display errors and other unwanted and unexpected things (it might get IE to render the page in "quirks mode", that renders many things differently than the normal way).

just to clarify it again, you can have as many ID selectors as you want, but each may apply to exactly one element

03.21.11

There are many ways to get a great looking web site but I strongly suggest you not do it with Flash. Everything included in your Flash can not be read by Search Engine Spiders and really cripples any chance of site rankings and getting found / popularity, etc.

Additionally, flash requires you have Adobe Flash Professional or similar software on your computer (very expensive and very complex for many users).

A better way to get a great looking web site is with CSS and DHTML. You do not need to learn html coding because there are many other applications out there besides Dreamweaver that can do this for you.

There is a Free version of NetObjects and Kompozer that are both WYSIWYG editors. No need to know html but both of those examples allow html editing, if desired.

Also grab a copy of FileZilla for easy FTP services (to move html files from desktop to server).

Try WordPress and JOOMLA out. Both of those guys offer editing via a built-in CMS meaning you need no software, everything can be done on the server side simply by logging into a admin panel.

Finally, is something called Artisteer can create web templates for you and then edit them using Notepad++ or any other html editor of your choice.

CoffeeCup software offers some neat software that is easy to use as well.

Good luck.

There are many templates for this online if you search google appropriately.

Also, I don't know if you've seen these yet and I want to recommend them to you. They're basically GUI tools for MySQL, and they work great (because I don't think even the web design veterans use command line to set up their databases).

Navicat is a great one, but costs some money. If you'd like free ones. MySQL themselves offer tools which can pretty much alter any aspect of your server and do whatever you want. They're called MySQL query browser and MySQL administrator. I put the download links below.

You may be able to set up your databases more rapidly using these. Also, the great thing about having a PHP/MySQL server is all the open source apps that come out for it. This includes E-commerce (store) apps, extremely versatile forums, blog apps (wordpress, most notably), and Content Management Systems. These may interest you as well, so i included them below too.

03.21.11

Go to the first place that the broken reference is cited and update whatever is between the <ref> tags.

The reflist is built dynamically based on <ref> tags in the article text – that way, if someone adds new references, then all citation links in the article and the reference list itself can be automatically updated.

03.21.11

You will see you won't get away with a price that low $300. Today you can go with a webhost domain at $12 or more, $50 is for a more industrial ready server if you need it.

What you are looking at isn't a flash template but a flash application which is a little more complex but not difficult. To control content you need to use dynamic side server code with a database to pull the data into xml format which is used with. You definitely need a database for your clients.

Why do you need a template if you won a web design competition, isn't that because you designed it or is template the new trend?

03.21.11

Templates look like templates. If you want your website to stand out, get a good custom design. If you don't mind looking like someone else, go ahead with the template.

03.21.11

Conception de site.
Réalisation de site.

03.21.11

Really there doesn't seem to be a defined "template" for how the recommendation letter is to be written. It is up to the teacher to decide how they want to set up their letter.

If you want to see some examples, I will put in some websites in my sources for you to check out.

Hope it helps.

The level of education and especially learning science has a great impact on how people think and reason. Rationale and logic become the basis of decisions. Faith and blind beliefs in obscure doctrines take a second place. Majority in world today thinks science and logic. That is the reason people prefer theory of evolution to creation.

03.21.11

As someone that works closely with artists that have had others infringe on their copyrights, I would ask for permission from the artist. I'm sure they won't mind and they'll appreciate you asking.

yes, a very good… and important question…

Being called XYZ Web Design, may restrict your activities to doing just design… do you do web development as well? ie. the actual building of the web sites?

I have a web *development* company that always carries out the design and build of a web site, so i just used a "strap line" under my business name (not my real business name)

Maximus
Internet Solutions

then i could easily add (for example)

Maximus
Web Server Hosts (or whatever branch of the internet i go in to)

You can use that one if you want?
When you hit $1m per year i want 1% :-) just kidding
All the best with your business venture

Decide on the final shaft speed you want, and pick a motor (or gear-motor) speed for the drive. From there some math becomes unavoidable, but the basic formula is simple:
S2/S1 = T1/T2
where S stands for the shaft speed and T the number of teeth on the gears. Since you are making gears, T1 and T2 must be integers, and each must be greater than 2
You are also talking about multiple shafts, so you need to apply the formula to each set of gears.
S3/S2 = T2/T3, and so forth
Note that all these ratios multiply to get your final ratio.
